If there were no schools to take the children away from home part of the time, the insane asylums would be filled with mothers. ~Edgar W. Howe

15 Responses to "Quotable Sunday ~ Back To School"Of course I have to totally disagree with that quote. As a homeschooling mother I can say for sure, that the insane asylum is not a place I will end up any time soon. :-) Now about that nervous twitch I have..... ;-)
Thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting. I have met some truly wonderful women (and a man or two)through blogging!
This post makes me a little sad. My little guy is only 18 months but I know that first day of school will be here before we know it. I know a lot of mothers/families completely agree with the quote!
Hahaha! Oh, I love this quote. Isn't it the truth!
Happy Sunday!
I must wholeheartedly DISagree with that quote. Now sending my daughter off to school, that would send me over the edge. Homeschooling rocks!
Ha Ha Ha!!! that's a good one!!
AHAHAHAHA! I love it! :) My bittersweet day starts August 26th... :)
Enjoy your Sunday! :)
i'm feeling that a little bit too. lol.
I have to say I have been following your blog for a while now.
But this makes me sad today and I actually have tears running, yes I am that emotional today, that you feel if you were home too much with your children they would drive to insane asylum.
Enjoy them, love them, cherish them for they will be out of your home too soon for good. Sure schedule your mom's night out and your date night's but enjoy the hell out of them because 18 years is just too quick to have them with us exclusively and all to ourselves.
What a sweet pic of you and the children Its beautiful and looks like that Quote came from a Wise Man
Great quote!
LOL, so very true!
Ha I took that quote as lighthearted and funny. I know a lot of moms who say school a few hours a day kept them sane when their kids were young.
hehe! love that quote.. and great pic of all you!!
I was just researching PRESCHOOLS in my area yesterday. As much as I will miss the little buggers when they head off to school....the fact that nap time has disappeared in our house leaves me searching for ways to get a FREAKIN BREAK.
I'm always sad to lose that time with my kids. But I admit that it would be an incredible feat to have the discipline and energy to educate each of my children at home. So I'm grateful for public schools! I just wish they only went to school half of the day instead of the entire day.
