It may come as no surprise to you that I live in one of the smartest cities in America. I'm not just "The Smart Blonde" anymore. I'm now "The Smart Blonde from the Smart City".
According to the Daily Beast's criteria, Denver is the #5 smartest city on the list of 55 of America's Smartest Cities.
“It’s rewarding to see Denver ranked among the smartest metro areas in the country, though we’re not entirely surprised,” Denver Mayor John Hickenlooper told the Daily Beast. “Smart, successful people are drawn to places like the Denver metro area because of our reputation for innovation and quality of life.”
So, like I told so many of you last week when you were wondering if there was a weather balloon floating over my backyard, I live in Denver. The Balloon Boy was from Fort Collins. Fort Collins is not Denver. There are lots of nice smart people in Fort Collins and I'm quite certain that the city may have made the smart list next year if it weren't for that unfortunate Balloon Boy fiasco.
