Five Fun Indoor Water Parks In Denver Colorado

My kids (9, 7, and 4) have always loved the water and swimming and we've been fortunate to live in a city that is close to many many great indoor swimming options.  Some of them are quite elaborate with slides, lazy rivers, family hot tubs, and some of them are just fancy indoor water spray playground type places.  Whether you live in Denver, the surrounding areas, or are in town for a visit, you'll find these five places are affordable and tons of fun!

1.  Apex Center Arvada

13150 W 72nd Ave
Arvada, Colorado 80005

Apex Center in Arvada has the most spectacular indoor water facilities I think I've ever seen.  23,000 square feet of indoor water fun: body and tube slide rides, zero-depth water playground, vortex pool, activity pool, lap pool, adult and
family hot tubs.  Admission is very reasonable, if I remember correctly it cost me about $15 for the 3 kiddos and myself.  The rate for non-residents is slightly higher than for residents but it is still quite reasonable.  There is something for every age and swim level here and we often bring our lunch with us and give the kids some play time in the free indoor playground before heading home.

2. Golden Community Center

1470 10th Street
Golden, Colorado 80401

The aquatic facilities at the Golden Community Center are another great option for indoor water play.  Their leisure pool features interactive play equipment and 150 ft. slide with water depth ranging from 0" to 3'6".  Another place perfect for all ages and swim ability.  They have also added an indoor play area that rivals any playground!

Tots 5/under   $2.00
Youth 6-18     $3.75
Adult 19-59    $5.50
Seniors 60+    $4.00

3.  Montclair Recreation Center

729 Ulster Way
Denver, Colorado 80220

We frequent this pool because it is very conveniently located in the Lowry neighborhood. If you are a non-resident it is a little more expensive at $3 for kids and $10 for adult but for us residents it's $2 per child and $5 per adults (or you can buy different memberships). My kids love the "roundy roundy" slide best.  The zero grade entry and kiddie slide makes this pool suitable for all ages/levels of swim ability. Be sure to check the open swim times before going!

4. Lone Tree Recreation Center

10249 Ridgegate Circle
Lone Tree, CO 80124
303-708-3500

Another fancy water facility with winding river and water slides. You'll pay about $1-2 more if you live outside the district but at $5.25 and $7.25 for kids and adults respectively, it's still cheaper than a movie and you'll wear your kiddos out that much faster!

Aquatic Facility Hours
Monday-Friday
5 am-9:45 pm
Saturday/Sunday
7 am-6:45 pm

6613 S. Ward Street
Littleton, CO 80127
303.409.2333

The Ridge Indoor Pools include a leisure/activity pool with lots of play features.  Floor geysers, bodyflume slide, current channel, bubble bench, zero grade entry, children's play structure with tot slide.  Something for all ages and swim ability!  I loved this place when my kids were itty bittys because infants are free and then define infant as not walking.  If you live outside the district the fees are $5.25/7.25 for children and adults.  Be sure to call for updated pool times as they change from season to season.

Princess loves the water. The Lizard King and I are pretty much anti water...unless it's frozen. ;)
