I sat down yesterday to Vlog and got very long-winded! You know how I hate Vlogs longer then 3-4 minutes so I chopped and spliced it into two. This portion has some really great advice that I learned the hard way.

11 Responses to "My Tuesday Advice ~ Don't Give Your Ideas Away For Free!"I love this and completely agree that all too often we get excited and give out too much info! Great vlog!
I sooo needed to hear this...thanks Fiona!
As I'm just now re-entering the freelance world, this is great advice. I think when we've been out of the working world for a while, we're so eager to prove ourselves that we end up under-valuing our work. Thanks!
Great advice Fiona! I've missed yours and everyone blogs so much I'm glad I had the chance to sit down and catch up♥

Hi. Thanks so much for this vlog. It is the first time I've seen one and I think it is a wonderful use of technology to differentiate oneself.
I've worked as a consultant too (for companies as well as myself). I think you made some great points about not giving away your ideas for free because I've seen this happen as well.
I'm just getting started again on the freelance side and this is something I definitely needed to hear. Vlog on!

I am famous for giving away ideas! In fact, I'm really good at it.
Enough is enough!
I'm happy to help people out because Ive been helped out along the way, too, but I've got to make a living, too.
Great points in your vlog! Thanks.
OH this is such solid advice..and so timely for me! I feel like I am just getting started and KNOW I have given away far too much!
Thanks so much for posting:)
Great video! Love it, I am FAMOUS for giving my services and advice away for free ... bad me!!! Happy Holidays! (btw I did see this when it first posted but had to bookmark and am JUST BARELY getting to my bookmarked links)
Thanks for the advice. I always wondered about presenting and then them ignoring you.
